Prairie Interlace is a five-year travelling exhibition examining the explosion of textile-based art on the Canadian Prairies — a partnership between UCalgary's Nickle Galleries and the MacKenzie Art Gallery.

The identity weaves its meaning into its typography: strong horizontals for the prairie horizon, verticals for interlacing threads and ideas. The brief was fully multidimensional — physical gallery walls and bilingual exhibition panels, plus a dedicated website and print and digital promotion.

An identity built to travel for five years across multiple institutions is closer to a brand system than a poster — and it was designed as one.
